Wow, this is beautiful! I love the blue, and the lightning looks really cool. I tried to take a picture of lightning once but I was too slow. Nice photo, great photography!

Thanks xD I've been trying for many years to get decent lightning shots by luck, and so far this has been my best year. I caught a streak hitting the ground earlier and then I managed this, which was a miracle lol xD Thanks for the comment and fave

Probably not as much as it looks xD The bolt was just really bright at this particular moment and makes it looks like it's completely destroying something. I must of shot this during one of the bolts many flickers. The camera lapsed about one second. I still do wish the bolt was more visible After this shot the storm started to make me nervous I was standing out in the open when lightning was going everywhere >.>;

And no problem I got in a long debate with myself on whether or not I should post it. I'm surprised by the amount of attention it's gotten. I'm glad people are enjoying this

Yep, and the storm was 50 miles away too. That was a fun night lol, yeah XD I feel the same way as well, but when the storm's many miles away XD There's just something so beautiful to them. I've always been fascinated with lightning. It's just so spectacular! I'm also very terrified of it when it's really close It sounds like it's trying to bring down the house >.>

I used to be afraid of lightning when I was a little girl, but now I think it's beautiful. Just like, how something so dangerous can bring so much light into the world...it's very intriguing. And I think it sounds cool when it's by the house, shaking it Yeah, I'm sick like that

I used to be terrified of anything weather, even rain. I remember one time it was raining so hard that our porches were starting to flood, and I was having a mental break down and driving my mom mad. I'd hide from all of the windows so the rain couldn't find me and get me >.> I still remember that clear as day and I was about 4 years old. I must of been freaked out of my mind XD And at night whenever I saw lightning or heard thunder I'd be a shot into my parents room XD And then there were the tropical storms and hurricanes. Man, when I was little I wished we would of lived in a desert. I wanted absolutely nothing to do with weather then, which is weird, because now weather is my passion and I'm going off to college to study it and make a career out of it. Those childhood fears still irk their way to me still, and it makes me feel like a wimp. I must be crazy, I want to go storm chasing, like, chasing those massive tornadoes I'm going to have one thriller of a career ahead of me. It just might kill me lol XD
